Characteristics of the gaming activities of football players

To date, a significant amount of research has been done to study the motor activity of football players in competition conditions, as a result of which data are obtained on the nature and extent of players' actions with and without the ball.
The rules of the game of football stipulate that the game time (90 min) includes not only the so-called net playing time (active phase), but also many stops in the game (passive phase).
The total indicators of the time of active and passive phases per match indicate that the largest is the private volume of phases with a duration of up to 30 s (on average, 24.1 minutes per match). Game lengths lasting from 30 to 60 seconds make up 36% of the total time of active phases (19.4 minutes on average), and over 60 seconds duration - 19% (on average 10.3 minutes).
The total time of the passive phases is very significant - more than 31 minutes on average per game, i.e. 34.6% of the total time allowed by the rules for the game. Most of the pauses (23.8 minutes) go to stops up to 30 s and only 1/4 go to stops longer than 30 seconds. It is established that the net play time ranges from 60-69 minutes. The average number of breaks per game is 100-140, in particular:
throw-in due to the sideline: 35-60 times 8-16 s;
a goal kick: 15–22 times for 13–20 s;
penalty and free kicks: 26-38 times 10-15 s;
corner kick: 14-16 times 14-18 s;
offside position “out of the game”: 8-10 times for 10-12 s.
This correlation of the time parameters of the game is logically connected with its specifics and patterns, the possibilities of the players, as well as the rules of the game. Maintaining a high speed of movement of football players is one of the main factors for overcoming the resistance of rivals - it is possible only if there are appropriate rest intervals.
Football refers to sports in which most of the players' activities are performed in the form of a running load, characterized by different speeds of its execution. A footballer's run consists of various forms of movement (runs, accelerations, jerks with a change in direction). It often begins from different starting positions, the rhythm and tempo vary greatly.
Timing activity of the players during the game showed that their physical activity consists of:
- from slow runs performed per game from 224 to 367 times; on time from 25 to 35 minutes; covered distance from 5 to 7 km;
- from accelerations at different distances - from 40 to 62 times; on time from 2 min. 25 s to 4 min. 45 s; approximate distance from 1 to 2 km;
- from jerks - from 45 to 78 times; on time from 1 min. 35 s to Z min; approximate distance from 870 m to 1700 m;
- from jumping and fighting for the ball - from 1b to 42 times; time from 1 min to 2 min 30 s.
On average, per game a football player runs for 29-42 minutes and runs over a distance of 8 to 12 km. At the same time, the average time of high-speed work per game is from 4 minutes 48 seconds to 7 minutes 20 seconds, and the distance traveled is 1700-2000 meters.
The most important motor forms used by the players during the game are actions with the ball. They determine the specifics of this sport and distinguish it from others. As you know, the main motor forms with a ball in football include shots, stops, dribbling, strokes, throwing the ball out of the side line, the goalkeeper's playing technique. The basis of group and team play is the transfer of the ball. They determine the pace of the game, the speed of the attacking and defensive combinations. The nature of the game depends on the style of the team. The most significant element of the game are shots on goal. They determine the effectiveness of the game, the number of goals scored.
The footballer touches the ball on average from 34 to 70 times during the game, and the total time of direct contact is about 135-165 seconds. It has been established that the midline players own the ball the most times, the center defenders the least.
The collective actions of a football team consist of the actions of individual players. As already noted, of the 90 minutes of the game 60-69 minutes falls on the so-called clean game. Based on the observations made, it was established that of the total amount of technical and tactical actions (TTD) performed by the player during the match, 19.3% fall on ball passes, 12.3 on ball receptions (stops), 6.1 on dribble , 3.4 - for strokes, 1.6 - for shots on goal, 1.1 - for throw-in due to the sideline, 3.7% - for other actions.
So, the game of football is characterized by high motor activity of players and a wide variety of technical and tactical actions. Footballer activity is predominantly dynamic, with periods of significant work alternating with periods of relative relaxation. The intensity of work during the game ranges from moderate to maximum. All this, in turn, places high demands on the versatile physical fitness of players.
